Gergő Gáspár, Director of AIS Hungary
Gergő is the founder of AI Safety Hungary and director for The European Network for AI Safety. He also founded the Hungarian chapter of the effective altruism movement, which has provided support to +300 students and professionals to achieve their career goals. Previously he was also a volunteer charity analyst and analysis coordinator for SoGive.
Athraa Alezzi, Course Facilitator
Athraa's main interest focuses on mapping out theories of change for long-term AI governance, and the development of effective policies against extreme technological risks. Throughout her career, she aims to promote responsible AI development and governance for the betterment of society.
Lili Csabai, Course Coordinator
Lili holds a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology with a focus on research. In March 2024, she joined AIS Hungary, where she plays a key role in operations especially in course coordination. She also leads the operations team in Effective Altruism Hungary. She hopes to inspire others to think critically about how they can maximize their positive contributions to the world.
Milán Alexy, Operations Lead
Milán recently received his MSc degree specialising in Behavioural Economics, and is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology. Before Budapest AI Safety, he worked as Research and Teaching Assistant, and built experience in Partner Relations and Sales. He is now looking for the most effective ways to apply his skill set within the field of AI Safety.
Kambar Orazbekov, Policy Lead
Kambar has graduated from Corvinus’ International Relations BA programme, and is currently pursuing a degree in Data Science in Business. He has hands-on experience of working in embassies, and managing events involving diplomatic staff. Aspires to find a niche to apply both his IR and DS expertises professionally in the future.
Alghaith Ahmad, Technical Lead
Ghaith is a Computer Engineering graduate from BME currently based in Canada who became involved in AI Safety post-graduation. His main interest is AI Interpretability and he aims to grow his knowledge and shed light on the importance of safe and responsible AI development through the fellowships and talks that he gives.
Dénes Dörömbözy, Operations
Dénes holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and is currently pursuing his Master's degree in the same discipline. His research focuses on the implications of emerging technologies, particularly human germline editing and artificial intelligence, on the domains of human rights and global security.
Ly Melinda Hoang, Volunteer
Melinda is a mathematics graduate from the University of Cambridge. She got more involved with AI Safety during the summer of 2022. Since then she started volunteering and then doing an internship at AI Safety Hungary. She is also taking part in Stanford Existential Risks Initiative’s Alignment Theory Scholars Program.
